HISTORY

Vivekananda Educational & Cultural Charitable Trust was established in 1994. The Trust is going to complete its 25 successful years of its formation.

In 1994 the first endeavour of the Trust was Saraswathy Vidyanikethan Central School at Perambra in Thrissur District. It is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi and Bharatheeya Vidyanikethan, the Kerala chapter of Vidha Bharthi. It has classes from LKG to XII. It is an ISO 9001-2008 certified school.
In 1995 the Trust Started Sreeramakrishna Vidynikethan Public School at Nandikkara in Thrissur District, which is also affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi and Bharatheeya Vidyanikethan (BVN). It has classes from LKG to Std. X.

In 2003 Vivekananda Vidyanikethan Central School started at Varandarapilly, Thrissur District. It follows the CBSE Syllabus and has classes from LKG to VIII.

In 2003 The Janatha Upper Primary School in Varandarapilly was taken over by the Trust. It is an Aided U.P school with classes from V to VII.

In 2006 Trust started a Hostel in the Saraswathy Vidyanikethan Central School campus for boys. The hostel, Swami Vivekananda Hostel is accommodating students from all over India. A separate building has been constructed for the hostel.

In 2008 Sreesastha Trust, Thumboor was taken over by our Trust and the school which was running under that Trust was renamed as Harisree Vidyanikethan. It has classes from LKG to X.

Vivekananda Educational & Cultural Charitable Trust, Kodakara, a premier trust engaged in the service activity including running educational institutions. The Trust got very much acceptance in the society. The Trust has carved a niche for itself in the society and hopes to contribute further to its development with the support and goodwill of our well wishers.
