Vision

The progress of any society is intrinsically linked to the strength and direction of its social infrastructure. While Kerala stands comparatively advanced in areas such as education and healthcare, the Trust recognises that development must be inclusive, value-oriented, and aligned with India’s cultural heritage. A significant section of society—particularly tribal communities, agricultural workers, and other marginalised groups—often remains outside the mainstream development process.

Further, access to quality education and skill-based training is frequently limited to those with financial means, leaving the truly deserving deprived of opportunity. Recognising this imbalance, the Vivekananda Educational & Cultural Charitable Trust was established in 1994 at Kodakara, Thrissur, inspired by the ideals of the great Indian sage Swami Vivekananda.

The Trust was founded with the vision of making education, healthcare, and cultural enrichment accessible to the needy, thereby contributing meaningfully to national development. While the Trust is empowered to operate across India, its present activities are primarily centred in Thrissur District, Kerala.

The Trust has the following explicit objectives:-

Educational Initiatives

  • To establish and manage educational institutions that impart a curriculum rooted in Indian cultural values, while conforming to national and all-India educational standards.

  • To ensure holistic education with strong emphasis on character building, ethics, and discipline, enabling students to emerge as responsible citizens committed to nation building.

  • To provide education aligned with future employment opportunities at national and global levels, with focused training in spoken and written Sanskrit, Hindi, English, and Malayalam.

Cultural Preservation and Knowledge Promotion

  • To preserve and propagate the invaluable heritage of ancient Indian knowledge systems across all disciplines by establishing and maintaining libraries and making their services accessible to all.
  • To establish research institutions and study centres dedicated to Indian culture, traditional arts, and social and scientific development.

Social and Charitable Activities.

  • To provide medical services to the needy.
